OneLouder Apps
Three products built around a simple idea: give people a focused, expressive way to follow what matters to them.
A portfolio inside a portfolio
OneLouder created a family of focused mobile products spanning weather, Twitter, and Reddit. The apps already had established audiences before my Pinsight Media+ tenure, and they continued to evolve afterward. This case study presents that broader product lineage without assigning launch work or later milestones to my contribution.
Three different information problems
Weather needs immediacy and confidence. Twitter demanded speed, filtering, and control over a noisy timeline. Reddit required readable conversations, community navigation, and media handling. Each app transformed a large information network into a more purposeful mobile experience.
01 · WEATHER
1Weather
Weather information designed to be useful before conditions become urgent.
OneLouder launched 1Weather for Android in January 2012 with animated maps and radar, weather alarms, severe-condition alerts, and local weather-related social updates. The current product has grown into forecasts, live radar, alerts, air-quality information, and customizable widgets.
The screens shown here are from the current Android product and represent later product evolution, not the version from my Pinsight Media+ tenure.

02 · SOCIAL
TweetCaster
A feature-rich Twitter client built for people who needed more control than the standard timeline provided.
TweetCaster paired multi-account publishing with tools such as Search Party, Smart Filters, themes, photo effects, list management, and “Zip It” muting. Contemporary coverage also highlighted searches within a user’s timeline and nearby geolocated posts—practical tools for journalists covering a developing story.

03 · COMMUNITIES
BaconReader
A dedicated mobile interface for navigating Reddit’s communities, conversations, and media.
At its 2011 OneLouder launch, BaconReader offered one-tap access to favorite subreddits, keyword and domain filters, color-coded comment threads, inbox support, and posting tools. It grew into a long-running Android and iOS client before Reddit’s API changes made continued operation impractical in 2023.
The retained images come from a later Android archive and document the product’s identity and interface lineage.
