Mobile Medic
An augmented-reality diagnostic experience that turned advertising into a medical challenge.
The product
Created for Defence Force Recruiting in Australia, Mobile Medic invited medical students to scan campaign posters and diagnose simulated patients with their phones. The app offered tools such as CT scans, angiograms, a stethoscope, ECG, ultrasound, and X-ray imagery.
Participants progressed through realistic medical scenarios and could request information about a Defence University Scholarship. A university roadshow brought the experience directly to prospective applicants.

The campaign won the 2013 IAB Australia Best in Show and Mobile Platform and App awards, a 2013 One Show Silver Pencil, and the Internet Advertising Competition’s Best Military Mobile Application award.
